You have done it too.

You sat across from someone and knew, without a word, that something was wrong. You watched a stranger on a train stare at a ringing phone and not answer it. You heard a friend say “I’m fine” and felt the whole sentence underneath.

Most people notice these moments and let them go.

I wrote them down.

For years I kept notebooks. A man who tipped far too much on the night he quit. A woman who laughed at the exact second she should have cried. A goodbye at a door that was really a confession. I could never stop wondering what came before, and what came after.

So I started writing it.

Every other Sunday, one story.

One stranger. One secret. One moment when it finally shows.

The stories are invented. Every feeling in them is real. You will recognise someone in them. Sometimes it will be you.

Each one takes ten to fifteen minutes. Read it on Sunday morning, before the week gets its hands on you.

What you will not get. No news. No advice. No noise. Nothing that takes more of your attention than it gives back.

Where this is going. I am writing my first novel. The people on this list will learn its title first, read its earliest chapters first, and hold it first.

Every person you pass on the street is carrying something they will never say out loud.

Every other Sunday, I will tell you what it is.
